We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Optometrist to join our team in Munger, Bihar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary eye care services, supporting academic and research initiatives, and contributing to community outreach programs. Key Responsibilities

👁️ Clinical Duties

• Maintain and calibrate optometric instruments (e.g., Tonometer) and ensure readiness of clinical infrastructure.
• Conduct comprehensive eye assessments and document findings with clarity and accuracy.
• Perform precise refractions, prescribe corrective lenses, and counsel patients on usage and care.
• Record provisional diagnoses and outline optometry-specific management plans.
• Uphold professional standards in communication, attire, and workplace conduct.
• Identify and engage with relevant sub-specialty areas in optometry.

🎓 Academic Involvement

• Deliver instructional sessions for Vision Technician (VT) students.
• Attend and actively participate in sub-specialty academic classes.
• Contribute to Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions and conferences through participation and presentations.

🔬 Research Support

• Assist senior optometrists in at least one clinical research study.
• Collaborate on the development of at least one academic publication or article.

Required Skills

Technical

• Proficient in handling and maintaining optometric equipment.
• Strong understanding of ocular conditions and referral protocols.
• Accurate and detailed clinical documentation.
• Fluency in English and Hindi (spoken and written).
