Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Community Coordinator, located in Uttarakhand, India. The Community Coordinator will be responsible for engaging with communities to identify their needs, fostering effective communication with diverse groups, planning and executing events, and leading community outreach initiatives. The role also involves organizing and supporting grassroots efforts to strengthen community bonds and promote social development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Community Engagement and Community Outreach skills to effectively connect with local groups and address their needs
• Strong Communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders and articulating ideas clearly
• Event Planning capabilities to organize and execute community-focused initiatives and programs
• Experience in Community Organizing to mobilize resources and promote collective action within communities
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently in an on-site environment
• Knowledge of local languages and culture in Uttarakhand is an advantage
• Prior experience in social development projects is preferred
• A degree in Social Work, Sociology, Community Development, or related fields is desirable
