About the Role We are seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Commodity Research Analyst to join our research team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, generating actionable insights, and delivering technical reports that support strategic trading decisions across various commodities and related markets. Key Responsibilities Market & Technical Analysis Analyze historical and current price data of commodities, equities, and indices using technical tools and indicators. Identify actionable patterns, support/resistance levels, and breakout opportunities. Research & Report Writing Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly research reports. Deliver clear technical outlooks and long/short-term trading strategies. Intraday & Investment Ideas Generate intraday trading ideas based on live data and technical research. Offer well-researched investment recommendations to internal teams and clients. Client Communication Communicate market insights, trends, and research findings to clients and stakeholders. Provide educational input to enhance client understanding of market dynamics. Inter-Market Analysis Leverage correlations between commodities, currencies, and equity markets to support forecasts and strategic views. Data Analysis & Tools Utilize statistical tools and software (e.g., Excel, Python, Bloomberg) to analyze large datasets and extract key trends. Team Collaboration Work closely with fund managers, sales teams, and product teams to align research insights with business needs. Continuous Learning Stay updated on the latest technical analysis methods and global market trends to maintain a competitive edge. Requirements Bachelors/Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field 5-15 years of relevant experience in technical/commodity analysis or market research Strong knowledge of technical analysis tools and charting platforms (TradingView, MetaStock, etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of Python or R is a plus Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and deliver time-sensitive reports
