Job Description

Commissioning Manager - 400 kV Substations

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead commissioning of GIS/AIS bays, SCADA, relay panels, metering FOTE systems
- Supervise third-party test agencies and interface with OEMs and state utilities
- Ensure compliance with CEA, CBIP, IE rules, and power utility specifications
- Coordinate grid synchronisation, approvals, and documentation
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- 12+ years experience in HV/EHV substation commissioning (minimum three 400 kV projects)
- Expertise in SCADA, protection relays (Siemens, ABB, GE), and grid compliance
- Strong leadership, coordination, and documentation skills
- Willing to work in remote project locations
Preferred:
- Solar evacuation experience
- Exposure to GIS/hybrid switchgear systems
- Familiar with SIPROTEC, REL Series, MiCOM relays
