Job Summary

The Commi-3 (Chinese Cuisine) is responsible for assisting in the preparation and production of Chinese and Indo-Chinese dishes while maintaining hygiene, quality, and kitchen standards. The role supports senior kitchen staff and ensures smooth daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of Chinese and Indo-Chinese dishes such as noodles, rice, starters, momos, spring rolls, and basic sauces.
• Handle basic cutting, chopping, marination, and mise-en-place.
• Support wok station and senior chefs during service.
• Follow standard recipes and portion control.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per food safety standards.
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
• Handle kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
• Follow FIFO and stock rotation methods.
• Assist in minimizing food wastage.
• Comply with company policies and kitchen SOPs.

Skills & Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of Chinese / Indo-Chinese cuisine.
• Understanding of wok cooking basics.
• Knowledge of knife skills and kitchen tools.
• Awareness of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Team player with a positive attitude.

Experience & Qualification

• Experience: 6 months to 1.5 years in Chinese / Indo-Chinese kitchen.
• Qualification: Hotel Management / Culinary Diploma preferred (not mandatory).
• Freshers with basic Chinese kitchen exposure may be considered.
