The Opportunity

College Counselling Manager – Postgraduate Applications Specialist

This role is ideal for a dynamic, empathetic, and strategically minded professional who thrives on helping motivated candidates achieve their academic and career ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end postgraduate admissions process

  for applicants, from initial consultation to offer acceptance.
• Guide candidates in building competitive academic, professional, and extracurricular profiles, including research projects, publications, work experience, leadership roles, and community initiatives.
• Develop

  customized application strategies

  for different program types—Master’s, PhD, MBA, and specialized postgraduate courses—across U.S., U.K., Canadian, and European institutions.
• Review and provide detailed feedback on

  Statements of Purpose (SOPs), Personal Statements, Research Proposals, Essays, Portfolios, Resumes, and Letters of Recommendation

  to ensure clarity, originality, and alignment with program expectations.
• Step in for complex or high-priority cases to offer direct mentorship and resolve challenges.

• Lead, train, and mentor

  a team of counselors to maintain high service standards and on-time deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal teams—subject experts, editors, test prep instructors—to ensure cohesive execution of candidate strategies.
• Organize internal trainings, admissions case reviews, and best-practice sessions to continuously improve team capabilities.
• Advise on

  program and university shortlisting

  , academic prerequisites, professional skill development, and funding/scholarship opportunities.
• Prepare candidates for interviews, assessment centers, and competitive selection processes.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients and families, providing updates and managing expectations.
• Track progress through robust documentation and ensure all deadlines are met.
• Share market trends, insights, and feedback with leadership to refine service offerings.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree

  in any discipline (preferably with personal experience of postgraduate study abroad in the U.S., U.K., Canada, or Europe).

• 3–5 years of experience

  in postgraduate admissions counseling, higher education advisory, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of program-specific requirements for

  Master’s, PhD, MBA

  , and other postgraduate degrees.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in academic and professional writing.
• Proven ability to

  manage multiple high-stakes applications

  simultaneously while maintaining quality.
• Empathetic, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong interpersonal skills to build trust with clients.
• Team leadership and training experience preferred.
• Familiarity with global postgraduate application systems and processes (e.g., university portals, MBA platforms, research program requirements).
