Collection Executive

As a collections officer, your role will involve overseeing procedures to reduce the amount of unpaid debt incurred by the company. You will be responsible for negotiating extensions with clients or writing off debt to minimize potential loss of income. To excel in this position, you should possess analytical skills and excellent report writing abilities. A successful collections officer must have in-depth knowledge of collection laws and continuously seek ways to enhance the company's debt recovery efforts. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the accurate and timely invoicing of customers. - Develop and execute strategies to enhance the collection of outstanding credit. - Implement collection policies and procedures to prevent excessive outstanding credit. - Ensure compliance with company policies on recoveries in accordance with state and federal regulations. - Stay updated on legislative procedural training related to debt collection. - Provide training and mentorship to staff members in the collections department. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. - 1-3 years of experience as a collections officer or freshers. - Proficiency in working accurately and independently. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail. - Exceptional leadership and managerial skills. - Effective time and people management capabilities. - Ability to work under strict deadlines.
