About Cogniter TechnologiesCogniter Technologies is a leading IT solutions provider serving a global client base with high-quality web, mobile, and digital solutions.We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer (CodeIgniter) to join our dynamic team and help build scalable, high-performance web applications.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development :
Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using the CodeIgniter framework
Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless backendfrontend integration
Code Optimization :
Write clean, modular, and maintainable code based on industry best practices
Identify and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks proactively
Database Management :
Design and optimize secure, high-performance MySQL databases
Develop and manage complex SQL queries to support application functionality and reporting
API Integration :
Integrate third-party APIs and external services
Ensure all API integrations are secure, efficient, and well documented
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Work closely with UI/UX, frontend, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle
Actively participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, and estimations
Code Review & Quality Assurance :
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure quality and consistency
Mentor junior developers and provide constructive feedback when needed
Testing & Debugging :
Perform unit, integration, and system testing
Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack
Documentation :
Maintain clear and up-to-date technical documentation (codebases, APIs, and processes)
Continuous Learning :
Stay informed about emerging technologies in PHP and web development
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance code quality and development processes

Requirements

Proven experience as a PHP Developer with strong expertise in CodeIgniter
Solid knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX
Experience integrating APIs and working with third-party services
Familiarity with Git or other version control tools
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Laravel or other PHP frameworks
Understanding of RESTful API architecture
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.)
