CNC & VMC Programmer

Orthotech India Pvt. Ltd. is expanding its manufacturing team and inviting Experienced CNC & VMC Professionals to join us at Valsad, Gujarat.
Job Title: CNC & VMC Programmer
Department: Production/Manufacturing

Location: Valsad

Experience: 2–6 Years

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• ITI (Machinist / Turner) with strong programming experience may also be considered

Technical Skills & Requirements:

• Hands-on experience in CNC & VMC programming

(Fanuc / Siemens / Haas / Mitsubishi controllers)

• Strong knowledge of G-codes & M-codes
• Experience in 2D & 3D programming
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (SolidCAM, CamWorks)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Knowledge of GD&T, tool selection, offsets, and cutting parameters
• Fixture design & setup experience
• Knowledge of materials: SS, Titanium, Aluminum, Alloy Steel, medical-grade materials
• Cycle time reduction & productivity improvement
• Surface finish & tolerance control

Machine Handling Experience:

• CNC Turning Centers
• VMC (3-axis / 4-axis / 5-axis – preferred)
• Live tooling

Quality & Process Knowledge:

• First Article Inspection (FAI)
• Process capability improvement
• Root cause analysis for machining defects
• Awareness of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 13485

(Medical device industry experience preferred)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and optimize CNC/VMC programs
• Machine setup and prove-out of new programs
• Coordinate with production and quality teams
• Ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards
• Maintain program documentation and revision control
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
