CNC & VMC Manager

In this role at the largest manufacturer of Bulk Conveying Chains and Accessories in India, established in 1978 and exporting to over 35 countries, you will be responsible for the complete planning of the CNC shop based on orders and indications received. Your key responsibilities will include: - Prepare monthly planning machine wise and display it for visibility. - Plan and supervise manpower including shift schedules. - Maintain attendance records and calculate overtime. - Plan tools and inserts based on the monthly plan for CNC machines. - Raise insert procurement requisitions and follow up with the purchase department. - Monitor production plan adherence and daily production efficiency. - Modify CNC programming as needed for new components or improvements. - Verify cycle time reduction possibilities through program, insert, and fixture modifications. - Conduct machine maintenance as required for optimal performance. - Drive quality improvement based on rejection analysis at shop, inspection, and assembly stages. - Coordinate heat treatment for finished components with a bin card. - Publish daily pending machining quantity based on the last batch number. - Share monthly costing sheets with management and suggest cost reduction strategies. - Report idle time and plan rough machining for CNC finished components. - Record and monitor consumption and cost of CNC inserts. For the routine work in the VMC shop, your responsibilities will include: - Complete planning of the VMC shop based on orders and indications. - Prepare monthly planning machine wise and display it for visibility. Experience in Machine Shop or Heavy Machine Manufacturing Industry is required, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in VMC and CNC.
