Job Description

Create and optimize CMM inspection programs using software such as Calypso, Camio, Arcocad or similar.
Conduct dimensional inspection of machined parts according to engineering drawings and GD&T requirements using CMM equipment.
Perform first article inspection (FAI) measurements and generate comprehensive inspection reports.
Analyze inspection data to identify trends, deviations, and root causes of dimensional issues.
Collaborate with production, MFT and quality teams to resolve quality issues related to part dimensions.
Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accurate measurement capability.
Train and mentor junior metrology staff and operators in CMM programming and inspection techniques.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance measurement processes and reduce inspection time.
Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
Maintain detailed documentation of inspection programs, reports, and calibration records.
Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) of parts during customer audits to ensure compliance with specifications.
Guide production and in-process teams on correcting dimensional issues during the manufacturing process.
Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) for all CMM inspection parts and submit them for approval.
