Job Description

Cluster Manager - Risk / Senior Cluster Manager - Risk
Job Purpose
To reduce or maintain risk at current levels and improve portfolio quality, leading to lower losses. Duties and Responsibilities

Effective team and stakeholder management.

Regular engagement with cross-functional teams.

End-to-end understanding of loss projections in terms of AOP, with recalibrated estimations done monthly based on bounce/collection inputs and trends.

Analyze departmental risk policies, portfolio analysis, policy audits, bounce analysis, and new customer acquisition analysis.

Engage with stakeholders to identify new business opportunities and take policy actions on marginal segments.

Active engagement with the RCU team to maintain controls on fraud accounts at the acquisition level, understand past trends, and build fraud trigger mechanisms.

Explore and implement required system changes and controls.

Review risk review and operating deck with the team and provide insights to improve portfolio quality.

Risk management, process enhancement, business analysis, and data analysis; take proactive corrective actions based on portfolio performance.

Utilize SQL and automated BI reports to execute required outcomes.

Monitor risk metrics, highlight any stress or trends, and simulate on historical data for projected impact of proposals.

Ensure policies are aligned to customer requirements and capture the right segment mix to help meet targeted business volumes and budgeted loss rates.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Skills and Knowledge

Educational Qualifications: Post-graduate degree; prior knowledge of SQL.

Work Experience: 8+ years of underwriting/risk for unsecured products; experience in stakeholder management and team management.
