About the Role:
As a Cloud Presales Engineer/ Manager, you will be a key player in the sales process, working alongside sales and technical teams to deliver cloud solutions across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google CloudPlatform (GCP). Your expertise will help design tailored cloud architectures, provide technical consultation, and guide customers through their cloud journey. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering innovative cloud solutions across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design and Architecture
- Understand customer requirements and design effective cloud solutions using AWS, Azure, and GCP services.
- Create multi-cloud architecture diagrams and detailed proposals tailored to specific business needs.
- Collaborate with sales teams to define the scope of technical solutions and present them effectively to stakeholders.
- Technical Expertise and Consultation
- Act as a subject matter expert for AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation), Azure (VMs, Blob Storage, Azure Functions, SQL Database, Virtual Networks, ARM templates), and GCP (Compute Engine, CloudStorage, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, VPC, IAM, Deployment Manager).
- Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle, including POCs, demos, architecture reviews, and customer Q&A.
- Guide customers on best practices for cloud adoption, cost optimization, security, and migration strategies.
- Customer Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their business goals and technical challenges.
- Conduct workshops, webinars, and training sessions to educate clients on multi-cloud capabilities.
- Gather and relay customer feedback to improve offerings and align services with market needs.
- Sales Support
- Partner with sales teams to strategize cloud go-to-market efforts and drive multi-cloud adoption.
- Create and deliver technical presentations, value propositions, and solution walkthroughs.
- Assist in the preparation and response to RFPs, RFQs, and technical documentation.
- Continuous Learning and Development
- Stay current with advancements in AWS, Azure, GCP, and the broader cloud ecosystem.
- Pursue and maintain cloud certifications across platforms to showcase technical authority.
- Share learnings and best practices with internal teams to enhance overall solution capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a presales or technical consulting role with cloud focus.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Relevant certifications such as:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid/multi-cloudstrategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a customer-facing, fast-paced environment
