Cloud Operations Specialist

Position Responsibilities

• Execute service and change requests within defined SLA and turnaround time (TAT).
• Participate in scheduled operational activities including Disaster Recovery (DR) drills, deployments, and patching.
• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Understand the current application infrastructure and suggest changes to it.
• Ensure adherence to cloud best practices and compliance standards using Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools.
• Assist in identifying root causes and implementing mitigation strategies for critical incidents.
• Collaborate in planning, designing, and solutioning discussions with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor cloud resources for health checks, alerts, and notifications to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Support both technical and non-technical stakeholders in identifying and optimizing their cloud resources.
• Handle issues and tasks related to cloud infrastructure including networking, Windows, Linux, and other platform-specific components.

Qualifications and Experience Requirement

• Qualifications

Essential

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of strong hands-on experience in managing cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven experience in handling service and change requests, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, Windows and Linux administration, and infrastructure components in cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud monitoring tools and CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management) solutions.
• Familiarity with deployment processes, patching, and disaster recovery drills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to optimizing cloud resources and performance.

Attribute

• Container & Container-orchestration tools (eg, Docker, EKS, ECS, GKE, AKS)
• Working knowledge of IaC Tools such as(CloudFormation, Terraform etc)
• Experience with implementing Automation and optimizations using Cloud native and serverless approaches.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes including incident, change, and problem management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, especially during production incidents and critical outages.
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift model from the office, including weekends and holidays as required.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks and deliverables.
