Cloud Lead Engineer

As a Cloud Lead Engineer at Barclays, you will spearhead the evolution of infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence to ensure seamless delivery of digital solutions. You will utilize cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure following industry best practices. - Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. - Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc. - Monitor system performance, availability, and health using AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools. - Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud environments. - Collaborate with development teams to optimize application deployment and performance. - Manage IAM roles, security groups, and AWS policies for secure access control. - Perform cost optimization, resource tagging, and usage analysis for effective AWS spend management. - Maintain and troubleshoot AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and more. - Stay updated with AWS service updates, emerging technologies, and industry best practices. **Qualifications Required:** - Strong knowledge of AWS services and architecture patterns. - Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation. - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, etc. - Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices. - Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in AWS. - Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer). - Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS). - Exposure to hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments. - Knowledge of compliance and governance frameworks.
