Job Description

Program highlights: The division of GI surgery has been broadly divided into HPB surgery, Colorectal and Foregut (Upper GI). We are high volume center for pancreatic resection, major liver resection, esophagectomy and laparoscopic colorectal resection and retroperitoneal sarcoma in eastern India. A robotic surgery program is successfully started and running with high volume in GI services. The departmental clinical and academic work load is increasing significantly in recent times. To cater the services, the department has decided to recruit Clinical associate in each subspecialties (HPB, Colorectal and Upper GI). The clinical associate will work as bridge between Fellows and consultants and will work in tandem with the respective consultant.
The clinical associate is required to operate and manage the patient independently under the supervision of respective consultant. Duration: 1 year, full time. Interim assessment will be done after 6 months and the continuation of next 6 months will depend on the performance. Qualification: - DrNB/Mch in GI-HPB Surgery or Surgical Oncology. MS / DNB General Surgery with Post Doctral Fellowship in OncoGI Surgery or Surgical Oncology (At least 2 years).
