They are responsible for managing administrative tasks, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a welcoming environment.Key Responsibilities: Patient Interaction: Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival and assist them with the check-in process. Appointment Scheduling: Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments following clinic policies. Patient Records: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Billing and Payments: Collect and process co-pays and payments, and provide receipts. Administrative Duties: Answer and route incoming calls, manage incoming and outgoing mail, and handle emails. Office Management: Maintain the reception area, manage office supplies, and ensure inventory is stocked. Patient Support: Address patient questions and concerns, and escalate issues to the appropriate staff member if needed. Collaboration: Communicate effectively with clinic staff regarding patient updates and scheduling.Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; some college or vocational training preferred. Prior experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a medical or clinical environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism. Proficiency in office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite and medical scheduling systems. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus.
