Job Description

Position Overview

Civil Designer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in civil design, preferably within consulting or engineering firms.

Software Skills

  • Proficiency in

    AutoCAD

    ,

    Civil 3D

    , or

    MicroStation

    .
  • Knowledge of

    GIS tools

    and

    hydraulic modeling software

    is an added advantage.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Technical Skills

  • Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and industry standards.
  • Experience in grading, drainage, and utility design.
  • Ability to perform engineering calculations and conduct site assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop civil designs including site plans, grading, utilities, drainage, and roadways.
  • Create and maintain CAD drawings and project documentation.
  • Conduct technical calculations and perform site analyses.
  • Ensure project deliverables comply with applicable codes, zoning regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers.
  • Perform quality checks and resolve design-related issues.
  • Stay updated with industry developments and attend relevant trainings.
