Chief Program Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Main point of contact for the customer and has the technical decision authority for the project
• Creating and executing project engineering work plans , understanding customer requirements and specification and cascade it to CFT as technical requirements and change management process.
• Managing resources in conjunction with horizontal managers, manufacturing and others
• Helping resolve day-to-day engineering operational aspects of project and scope
• Effectively managing project risk through mitigation planning by raising RIOs within enterProj and ensuring timely closure of RIO’s
• Supporting Project team in their monitoring and reports of, timing, income, expense and resource management
• Ensuring team members are utilizing Project Management and VPDS , Vistway methodology and other business processes and system defined by Visteon
• Preparing for Senior Project Leader and Project Board project reviews and quality assurance procedures
• Ensuring all project technical documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately in enterProj
• Monitor project status (including supplier status) and review CM activities with appropriate stakeholder
• Lead Gate reviews, CCB and manage key activities related to changes and problems (at both project and SW level):

o determine prioritization

o provide approvals

o progress updates / impediments / escalations (ensure the team are working according to plan / customer expectations)

o impact analysis

o post implementation review

Preferred candidate profile

• Automotive cockpit electronics, IVI , Connected car product development knowledge , project management and full product life cycle management experience

• Special/regulatory requirements if any

  (e.g. qualification/certification, language capability, extensive travel etc.)
• BE or B.Tech or equivalent in Electronics Communication Engineering or mechatronics or equivalent with hands on experience automotive cockpit electronics / connected cars / IVI etc
