Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned and visionary UI/UX Design Leader who will own and drive the design strategy across critical digital initiatives. This role demands a high degree of design leadership, people management, effective storytelling along with hands-on execution capability. Key Responsibilities UX Strategy & Product Design Leadership Own the end-to-end UX lifecycle for products within your assigned track. Apply user-centered design principles to inform design decisions. Develop artifacts including personas, journey maps, IA, wireframes, and storyboards . Conduct heuristic evaluations , expert reviews and recommend improvements. Plan and execute qualitative research independently (interviews, contextual inquiries, etc.). Analyze user behaviors and competitive UX benchmarks to inform design. Translate findings into actionable insights that improve product usability and desirability. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with product managers, business stakeholders, engineers, and vendors to align on goals and design solutions. Ensure that designs are technically feasible , meet business requirements, and exceed user expectations. Design Operations Management Create and maintain user flows, user journeys, IA, wireframes, prototypes Manage UX/UI effort estimations and delivery timelines. Contribute to and evolve the design system and UI standards. Project & People Management Oversee design operations, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality deliverables. Manage design project timelines, priorities, and quality of deliverables. Supervise and mentor Senior Designers and junior team members. Guide team members on applying research-driven design decisions. Required Skills & Qualifications UX Principles Strong understanding of UX design principles , research methodologies and design thinking framework Storytelling Ability to convey ideas and concepts through compelling storytelling. Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Problem-Solving Creative problem-solving skills with a strong analytical mindset . Experience 12+ years of hands-on experience in UI/UX design, with at least 4 years in a managerial/leadership role. Design Figma, Adobe Suite Collaboration Miro, Whiteboarding tools Project Management JIRA, Confluence Preferred Experience in insurance, fintech, or BFSI domains is a plus. Exposure to accessibility standards , responsive design, and scalable design systems. Strong analytical mindset to turn research into structured problem-solving. Portfolio An online portfolio showcasing product design work, analytical decision-making, design operations and strategic thinking.
