Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Financial Planning

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  
• Advise the CEO and Board of Directors on long-term business and financial planning.
  
• Support M&A, fundraising, and investment strategies.
  

2. Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  
• Ensure compliance with local, national, and international financial regulations.
  
• Present accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders and board members.
  

3. Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Manage company cash flow, liquidity, and capital requirements.
  
• Optimize working capital and ensure effective fund utilization.
  
• Maintain relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
  

4. Risk Management & Compliance

• Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, audit requirements, and statutory obligations.
  
• Implement internal controls to safeguard assets.
  

5. Operational Excellence

• Lead and mentor finance and accounts teams.
  
• Implement financial systems, policies, and processes to improve efficiency.
  
• Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives.
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / CFA / MBA (Finance) preferred.
  
• 15+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  
• Proven experience in corporate finance, fundraising, and financial planning.
  
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, taxation, compliance, and risk management.
  
• Experience in [insert industry, e.g., Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, FMCG] is desirable.
