Head of Finance
Reports to: Functional reporting to Global CFO and Country Manager for administrative matters
Location: Taloja, Navi Mumbai
Band: L2/L3
Position Summary:
We are seeking a CFO responsible for forecasting the organization's financial standing based on financial and operational data and reports provided by the finance and accounting teams and advising the CEO and Global teams on strategic direction. This role includes ensuring timely statutory compliance deliverables, monthly reporting, tracking cash flow and financial planning as well as analysing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions. As a member of senior management, the CFO will be comfortable in a leadership role that requires clear and effective communication skills.
He will work closely with and administratively report to the Country Manager and functionally report to the Global CFO.

A degree in the following subjects is must:

· Extensive financial statement modelling experience, budgeting and forecasting.
· Take responsibility (either directly or via staff) for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy and hiring needs
· Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same
· Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization
· Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows
· Comply with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action
· Experience of working with SAP FI/CO module (SAP implementation experience would be a plus
· Approachable and confident personality type, comfortable within a wide range of organizational environments.
· High integrity and natural desire to assume responsibility.
· Exposure to Audit (Big 4 a must)

Job Description:
Roles & Responsibilities
· Work with senior managers to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract/grant compliance and reporting
· Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyse internal operations and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement
· Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure.
· Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for Global reporting, Country management team and rest of the company.
· Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities (ex: Financial Accounting Standards Board, Tax authorities, auditors including all statutory requirements)
· Implementing financial management policies to underpin sustainable long-term financial health and reviewing performance against them.
· Developing and maintaining an effective resource allocation model to deliver business priorities.
· Leading on asset and balance sheet management.
· Ensure that professional advice on matters that have financial implications is available and recorded well in advance of decision making and used appropriately.
· Ensure that those making decisions are provided with information that is fit for the purpose – relevant, timely and giving clear explanations of financial issues and their implications.
· A CFO is responsible for leading the finance team and ensuring that the team can effectively support the company's financial operations. This includes recruiting and training finance professionals, setting performance goals, and creating an environment that fosters collaboration and innovation.
Day-to-Day Duties
· Developing and Implementing Financial Strategies, monitoring and executing financial plans that complement the overarching business strategy. This involves working closely with other senior leaders to ensure the company's financial plans and budgets support its long-term growth and success.
· Ensure overseeing Financial Operations and Controls across all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, internal controls are in place to minimise financial fraud risk and comply with accounting and tax regulations.
· Financial Planning and Analysis - responsible for developing and implementing a company's financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
· Generate timely Financial Reporting and deliver precise financial reporting including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement and also be able to explain financial data to the local leadership team and global Finance organization.
· Responsible for managing and identifying financial risks. This includes conducting risk assessments, implementing risk management strategies, and monitoring risk exposure.
· Responsible for ensuring the business abides by all tax laws and rules. This involves creating tax planning plans, managing tax audits, and preparing and filing tax returns.
· To oversee the company's cash flow and ensure there are enough resources on hand to pay for all of the company's financial commitments. Treasury Management
· Oversee the capital management process, ensuring that the organisation has access to sufficient funding to support its operations, grow its business, and achieve its strategic objectives.
· Ensure that financial processes are efficient and effective and that the company's financial systems are robust and secure.
· Work with other executive team members to develop accurate and realistic budgets and forecasts and monitor the company's financial performance against these projections to make any necessary adjustments.
· Keeping up with evolving accounting standards, tax legislation, and financial regulations is a part of this.
· Ensuring that the audit function, both internal and External, operates effectively, providing valuable insights and recommendations to senior management, and contributing to the overall improvement of the organisation's financial management processes.
· Building a Strong and Efficient Finance Team
· Work closely with the leadership team on strategy, roadmap, and targets for the business, and advise on hiring decisions and market opportunities.
