Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Develop long-term financial strategies aligned with business plan, bidding pipeline and capex planning
  • Drive annual budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling for HAM/EPC projects
  • Evaluate commercial/financial viability for tendering, investments and new projects
  • Support senior management and Board decisions through financial analysis and MIS

2. Project Finance, Banking & Financial Closure

  • Arrange and structure project finance including term loans, working capital limits, OD/CC, BG/LC and escrow mechanisms
  • Manage financial closure for HAM/BOT/SPV projects including lender due diligence
  • Liaison with banks, NBFCs, FIs and rating agencies
  • Negotiate credit terms, monitor covenants, interest exposure, sanctions and compliances

3. Treasury, Cash Flow & Working Capital

  • Manage end-to-end liquidity including mobilization advances, retention money, milestone payments and concessionaire receivables
  • Treasury operations covering inter-project fund allocation, banking arrangements and cash flow optimization
  • Mitigate liquidity risks through active monitoring of receivables, claims and billing cycles
  • Ensure timely vendor payments, contractor settlements and fund utilization

4. Accounting, Taxation, Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure accuracy and closure of financial statements under IND-AS / Indian GAAP
  • Manage statutory compliance including GST, Income Tax, TDS and auditing requirements
  • Implement internal financial controls (IFC), risk and governance mechanisms
  • Collaborate with tax advisors, legal counsel, secretarial and statutory authorities

5. Contract Commercial & Cost Governance

  • Review financial and commercial terms in EPC/HAM/BOT contracts
  • Monitor project costs versus budgets, variation orders, change in scope and escalation events
  • Lead claims, dispute management, arbitration and recovery processes
  • Ensure project-level P&L visibility and reporting to management/Board

6. MIS, Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop MIS architecture covering project-wise P&L, cash flow, working capital and receivables
  • Provide monthly/quarterly dashboards including forecasts, fund requirements and exposure summary
  • Strengthen analytical reporting to support project execution and management controls

7. Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead Finance, Accounts, Treasury, Tax, Commercial, MIS and Project Accounts teams
  • Develop capability in project accounting, commercial controls and financial governance
  • Build a culture of financial discipline across sites, HO and project teams

Candidate Profile

  • CA Qualified
  • 15-25 years experience including minimum 10-12 years in Highway/EPC projects.
  • Proven capability in project finance, working capital, banking and financial closure
  • Strong understanding of IND-AS, tax laws, contract commercial and EPC cost structures
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and financial modelling capability
  • Demonstrated leadership, governance orientation and decision-making ability under complex project conditions
