Chief Discipline Engineer Process

As a seasoned professional in Chemical Engineering with 18-20 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in driving the successful execution and implementation of projects within the organization. Your responsibilities will include providing inputs for work plans, ensuring adequate resources allocation, and adherence to project schedules aligning with overall business objectives. You will lead a team at the plant/project site to implement strategies effectively. Your expertise will be pivotal in formulating and updating design guides and standards in line with Engineering policies, ensuring controlled execution of work. Conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of project roadblocks and documenting solutions for future reference will be a key aspect of your role. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in policies, processes, and procedures to enhance business processes, reduce costs, and improve productivity will also be part of your responsibilities. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, you will lead the development of basic engineering packages for projects, ensuring compliance with Reliance guidelines and standards. You will oversee day-to-day activities to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, taking corrective actions when necessary. Additionally, you will handle interface issues with Offsites and Utilities teams and lead the development of detailed engineering designs for various project components. Your role will involve providing support in identifying opportunities for value engineering and implementing optimization strategies across multiple projects. Recording lessons learned and value creation items for future reference, issuing error-free documents, and ensuring comprehensive handover of engineering packages will also be part of your responsibilities. Your educational background should include a Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering to effectively fulfill the requirements of this position.
