About our Client

Our client is a market leader in providing B2B2C services wherein it partners with retailers (B2B) to serve the end-users in the community (B2C).The solutions provided are Cash withdrawals and deposits, Money transfers, Insurance products, Bill payments, Travel bookings, Savings and Access to Govt. benefits. It has a pan India (mostly rural) presence with 500+ field force who are dedicated towards onboarding small retailers on the platform for providing the value add doorstep service. The business is a low margin one and relies heavily on large volume transactions aided by seamless and cost effective tech platform.

Role Description

The Chief Business Officer will be responsible for leading business development initiatives, overseeing client acquisition operations, and driving strategic growth in rural B2B markets. The role reports into the MD&CEO and will be responsible for

• Planning, developing and implementing sales revenue growth strategies across the rural markets of India for existing and new business lines
• Benchmarking with competitors and define unique or more efficient solutions in servicing the clientele (B2B2C) or making it more cost effective
• Lead and embrace a large team in an inspirational manner such that they feel motivated to perform beyond the performance matrix.

What must you as a candidate bring to the table

• 18+ years of experience in mass market B2B2C rural retail in the FMCG or Telecom Industry
• Large Impact area experience - In your current role you must be handling at least 3/4th of India Geography
• Evidenced ability to develop strategy and devolve it into minute actionable which can be understood by a large distributed field force

Compensation on Offer

• 1.5 cr Fixed+ Variable
• ESOPs with lucrative wealth creation opportunity as the company is IPO bound
