Chief Accountant
Role & Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the accounting departments daily operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and records.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data; produce financial reports or statements.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  • Support budget and forecasting activities.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Meet financial accounting objectives and deadlines.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors as needed.
Preferred Candidate Profile
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or similar senior accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
  • Experience with accounting software and databases.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Leadership abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
