Job Description – Chef / Cook (Maldives)

Position: Chef / Cook
Location: Maldives
Salary Package: ₹40,000 to ₹50,000 per month (Accommodation, Food )
Reporting To: Head Chef / Cook

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef/Cook to join our team in the Maldives. The ideal candidate should be skilled in preparing quality dishes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and managing day-to-day kitchen operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to the menu and quality standards.
• Ensure all dishes are presented professionally and consistently.
• Assist in menu planning and introduce new dishes when required.
• Manage kitchen inventory and ensure ingredients are properly stored.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
• Follow food safety guidelines (HACCP standards).
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely food service.
• Minimize food waste through proper portion control and storage practices.
• Handle kitchen equipment safely and ensure regular maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Chef/Cook, preferably in hotels, resorts, or restaurants.
• Strong knowledge of Indian, Continental, or Multi-cuisine cooking (as applicable).
• Good understanding of kitchen safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Good time-management and multitasking skills.
• Culinary certification is an added advantage.
