Job Summary

The Chef de Partie (CDP) is responsible for managing a specific kitchen section and ensuring high-quality food preparation across Continental, Indian, and Chinese cuisines. The role requires consistency, hygiene, teamwork, and the ability to follow standard recipes and kitchen procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes from South Indian, Continental, Indian, and Chinese cuisines according to standard recipes
  • Take full responsibility for the assigned kitchen section
  • Ensure food quality, taste, portioning, and presentation standards are met
  • Coordinate with Sous Chef and Head Chef for daily operations
  • Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and kitchen helpers
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety
  • Control food wastage and assist in inventory management
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items
  • Follow kitchen SOPs and safety guidelines
  • Assist in menu planning and new dish development when required

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Continental, Indian, and Chinese cooking techniques
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Good time management and multitasking skills
  • Team player with leadership qualities
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Basic understanding of cost control and portion control

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certification in Culinary Arts (preferred)
  • Formal training in multi-cuisine cooking is an advantage

Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience as Chef de Partie or Senior Commis
  • Prior experience in hotels, fine-dining restaurants, or high-volume kitchens preferred

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
