Commis-III(Bakery& Pastry)

Job Summary

The Commis-III – Bakery & Pastry supports the bakery and pastry team in the daily preparation, production, and presentation of baked goods and desserts. This is an entry-level position focused on learning basic bakery and pastry techniques while maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of basic bakery and pastry items such as breads, rolls, cakes, pastries, and desserts
• Follow standard recipes and instructions provided by senior chefs
• Help with mixing, baking, decorating, and plating under supervision
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bakery and pastry work areas
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
• Assist with proper storage of ingredients and finished products
• Support senior chefs during service and peak production times
• Handle kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues
• Minimize waste and follow portion control guidelines
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the Chef de Partie or Pastry Chef

Qualifications & Skills

• Basic knowledge of bakery and pastry operations (training or culinary education preferred)
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety
• Physically fit to stand for long hours and handle kitchen tasks

Experience

• Freshers or candidates with 0–1 year of bakery/pastry kitchen experience
• Culinary school or hotel management training is an advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
