Job Description

As a Chef de Cuisine at Fairmont Udaipur Palace, you will have the opportunity to showcase your artistic culinary talents through menu design and lead the local market restaurant industry with trend-setting food offerings. Your key responsibilities will include: - Striving to advance your knowledge, skills, and abilities, and consistently sharing the same with others - Making key operating decisions that impact the F&B offering for the restaurant - Training a team of diverse and professional colleagues to deliver on our dining experience - Taking responsibility for the food culture and food safety of the banquets - Overseeing daily Culinary operations and setting the direction of the team and menu - Working in conjunction with the PR and Marketing team to grow revenues via social and other marketing campaigns - Preparing financial forecasts and budgets for the Banquet team, including ordering products and scheduling team members - Ensuring proper inventory control and ordering practices are utilized - Setting and overseeing goals as identified through employee engagement surveys - Leading initiatives to guarantee Guest Satisfaction Scores are achieved - Training and developing culinary team members with an emphasis on team leads, food presentation, and preparation methods - Ensuring the kitchen is maintained in optimum condition and meets Health & Safety committee objectives - Supporting and providing direction for menu development and implementation with consideration to banquet concept, food trends, Guest Satisfaction results, and food cost - Actively participating in kitchen and department head meetings Qualifications required for this role include: - Being creative, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized - Being product and quality obsessed with good knowledge in menu engineering and design - Being a team player with the ability to train, coach, and motivate employees - Having experience leading a fast-paced culinary operation - Possessing strong leadership and communication skills - Having previous experience in scheduling a large culinary team - Understanding labor costs and productivity - Being well-versed in the calculation of food cost, conducting food inventories, and understanding inventory turnover - Having a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role Fairmont Udaipur Palace is committed to diversity and inclusion, aiming to attract, recruit, and promote diverse talent.,
