As an Assistant Manager - Direct Tax and Audit at Cretum Advisory, your role will involve a variety of responsibilities to ensure the efficient functioning of the firm. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct audits of financial statements in accordance with applicable standards and regulations - Ensure compliance with direct tax laws and regulations - Perform due diligence for various business transactions - Provide advisory services on tax planning and compliance - Perform detailed review of audit documentation and financial statements - Prepare tax computations, returns, and reports for clients - Assist in due diligence assignments for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions - Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations - Develop and maintain MIS reporting - Conduct quarterly & monthly review of books - Conduct internal audits to assess the effectiveness of controls, compliance, and risk management - Build and maintain strong client relationships - Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals Qualifications Required: - Chartered Accountant qualification - Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in audit - Strong knowledge of auditing standards and direct tax laws - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Immediate availability for joining About Firm: Cretum Advisory is a professional firm operating in assurance, advisory, litigation, tax, and transaction services since 2011.
