Job Description

Responsibilities

As an in-charge of CFT, shall be responsible for leading the turnout of the crew.Assessment of the call, determining the line of action to be taken by the unit crew, and implementation of the same to achieve the turn-out objective shall be the key elements of the Role.
  • Command on R/T communication shall be an essential element of the role during emergencies.
Sincerity and alertness displayed in maintaining CFT stand-by.
When posted at SFS, he shall be responsible for turning out the required number of SFS appliances based on the nature of the call.Supervise the Serviceability and Inventory check of CFT, record the observations in respective logbooks, and communicate the observations to the Duty Manager.Follow up with concerned agencies for the closure of the snags identified during various checks and inspections.Supervise the Training and lectures conducted in respective shifts.Complete all designated training in the stipulated time.
  • Supervise the Operational Checks of Equipment/Appliances as per schedule.
Assist the Duty Manager in maintaining Operational Records and in the preparation of Daily Reports.Maintain Mental and Physical Fitness.Perform Specific Tasks as and when directed by Duty Manager.Shall be conversant with all relevant SOPs, WI, and Contingency Plans of NMIA.Prompt turn out of the respective CFT to achieve a response time of 2 minutes and efficiency displayed in implementing the Tactics to meet the turnout objective.Optimum and judicious use of extinguishing media and other resources shall be a key result area expected from the role.Effective Communication.Sincerity displayed in closing the observations identified during various checks and inspections.Sincerity displayed in conducting Training, Lectures, and operational Checks in respective shifts.Performance displayed during training and sincerity displayed in completing the same within the stipulated time.Performance during Annual Physical Endurance Test (PET).Initiatives taken in respective shifts to upkeep the morale and alertness of the crew.

Essential

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+2 with valid Heavy Transport Vehicle (HTV) Driving License.
  • Should possess Basic Firefighting certification from the Aviation Fire Training Centre.

Desired

Technical / Functional Skills:
  • Possess Fire Officers Course Certification from Aviation Fire Training Centre
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic First Aid certificate

Experience

  • He should have at least 08- 10 years’ experience of working with the Aviation Fire Service.
