About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CEO / Head of Ship Repair to lead our operations and drive strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have served as a Chief Engineer or Second Engineer at sea and have strong shore-based experience in ship repair, dry-docking, or marine engineering management.

This is a leadership role that combines technical expertise with operational and business management. You will oversee all yard activities, ensure safe and efficient execution of projects, and lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver world-class ship repair services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall operations, business strategy, and performance of the ship repair division.
• Manage day-to-day ship repair and dry-dock activities, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion.
• Develop and execute business plans to achieve profitability and growth targets.
• Supervise technical teams — engineering, production, quality, and project management.
• Maintain strong relationships with ship owners, managers, class societies, and key stakeholders.
• Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with class, statutory, and HSE standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across all departments.

Requirements

• Certificate of Competency as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer (Motor or Steam).
• 10–15 years’ total experience, including:
• Minimum 5 years sea service as Chief or Second Engineer.
• Minimum 5 years shore-based experience in ship repair or marine engineering management.
• Proven leadership in ship repair, conversion, or maintenance projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of marine machinery, propulsion, and hull systems.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and client relationship management experience.
• Fluency in English.
