Key Responsibilities
Marketplace Growth and Optimization
- Drive operational strategies to enhance creator discovery, ensuring brands can seamlessly access the right creators for every campaign.
- Build and operationalize pricing structures that balance efficiency, scalability, and value for both brands and creators.
- Implement initiatives that directly boost order volume, optimize fulfillment processes, and encourage higher brand spend on the marketplace.
- Design and maintain a structured communication framework (similar to Airbnb) that standardizes brandcreator interactions, reducing manual interventions and errors.
Supply and Demand Management
- Lead end-to-end creator onboarding operations, building scalable processes for verification, category mapping, and community engagement.
- Establish and enforce a sustainable, process-driven pricing strategy that ensures predictability for brands while maximizing creator returns.
- Oversee delivery automation workflows to ensure campaigns move smoothly from brief intake to final execution with minimal manual touchpoints.
- Use data-driven monitoring of supply-demand balance to proactively address gaps, ensuring timely availability of the right creators for brand needs.
Performance Metrics and KPIs
- Track and report key operational metrics, including order volumes, revenue growth, profit margins, and turnaround times.
- Monitor creator retention, onboarding SLAs, and adoption of marketplace tools, ensuring continuous operational improvements.
- Implement delivery-focused KPIs (e.g., % campaigns delivered on-time, error-free) to improve client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Use data analysis not just for insights but also to enforce operational playbooks, prevent bottlenecks, and maintain service standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product/tech to co-create features that reduce ops complexity, automate manual steps, and improve reliability of campaign execution.
- Work closely with marketing and growth teams to ensure creator and brand onboarding operations align with demand generation.
- Collaborate with finance and legal to standardize contracts, payment flows, and compliance checks across all marketplace transactions.
- Establish a cadence of operational reviews with stakeholders to align KPIs, track progress, and make mid-cycle adjustments.
Market Expansion and Strategy Development
- Scale marketplace operations in India by setting up repeatable playbooks for creator onboarding, order fulfillment, and client delivery.
- Continuously evaluate market dynamics and competitor operational models, incorporating learnings into our workflows.
- Develop an operational roadmap for international expansion, focusing on scalable onboarding, compliance, and cross-border campaign delivery.
Requirements
Experience:
3+ years in marketplace management, e-commerce, or related rolesEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a top-tier institution; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Analytical Skills:
Proficiency in SQL, BI tools, and data analytics, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and optimize marketplace functions.Marketplace Expertise:
Strong understanding of marketplace supply-demand mechanics, pricing strategies, and experience in managing complex customer relationships.Data-Driven Approach:
Ability to utilize data and analytics to gain insights into marketplace trends, consumer behavior, and areas for optimization.Communication and Stakeholder Management:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and engage with external stakeholders effectively.Leadership:
Experience managing teams of 5-7, with the ability to guide and inspire team members to achieve collective goals. Experience working cross-functionally with tech, marketing, and product teams to drive marketplace growth.
