Category Lead

As a Category Lead at Oswaal Books located in Noida Sec 142, you will play a key role in driving growth, market share, and profitability of assigned product categories. Your responsibilities will include developing category growth strategies in line with company objectives, identifying new product opportunities based on market trends, and conducting competitor benchmarking and pricing analysis. You will collaborate with editorial and production teams to plan and launch new products within the category, ensuring timely releases and managing go-to-market plans. Monitoring product performance and taking necessary actions for underperforming SKUs will also be a part of your role. Partnering with sales and marketing teams, you will drive category sales across offline and online channels, working on campaigns, promotions, and visibility initiatives. Additionally, you will provide insights and product training to the salesforce to enhance category performance. Analyzing sales data, consumer insights, and industry reports will be essential for refining category strategies, tracking category KPIs such as revenue, profitability, and market share, and managing category P&L to ensure profitability and sustainable growth. Collaboration with editorial, design, production, supply chain, and digital marketing teams will be crucial for success in this role. The key requirements for this position include an MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Sales, or a related field, along with 5-8 years of experience in category management, product management, or brand management, preferably in publishing or ed-tech. Strong analytical, strategic, and execution skills, excellent communication, and leadership abilities are also necessary.
