Cashier/Sales Assistant

Role Overview: As a cashier at our store, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth store operations. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting customers, processing transactions accurately, handling inquiries, and maintaining a clean checkout area. You will collaborate with team members to deliver a positive shopping experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities: - Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner - Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems - Accurately process cash, credit, and debit card transactions - Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as needed - Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints politely and efficiently - Maintain a clean and organized checkout area - Count cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy - Follow store policies and procedures, including those related to security and safety - Assist in restocking shelves, tidying displays, and general store upkeep when needed - Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) - Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus - Basic math and computer skills - Strong communication and customer service skills - Attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Please note that this position is full-time, permanent, and suitable for fresher candidates.
