Cashier

Job Brief:

Thalassa Greek Taverna is seeking an energetic, alert, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our vibrant nightclub and restaurant operations. This role is critical during peak evening hours, ensuring fast and accurate billing, as well as smooth payment processing, in a high-volume, fast-paced nightlife environment.

The ideal candidate excels under pressure, maintains accuracy during busy shifts, and delivers professional guest service while closely coordinating with floor staff, bar teams, and management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage high-volume billing during peak nightclub and dinner service hours.
• Accurately process cash, card, and digital payments using the POS system.
• Handle split bills, table transfers, voids, and adjustments efficiently.
• Coordinate closely with servers, bartenders, and supervisors to ensure correct billing.
• Maintain strict cash control and follow nightclub billing procedures.
• Address guest billing queries and concerns calmly and professionally in a lively environment.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and corrections as per management approval and company policy.
• Perform end-of-shift and end-of-day cash reconciliation and submit accurate reports.
• Ensure the cashier counter remains secure, organized, and operational throughout the shift.
• Follow all safety, security, and compliance procedures during late-night operations.

Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience as a cashier in a nightclub, bar, lounge, or high-volume restaurant preferred.
• Strong numerical skills with close attention to detail, even during rush hours.
• Ability to work efficiently in loud, crowded, and fast-paced nightlife settings.
• Familiarity with POS systems used in bar and restaurant environments.
• Clear communication skills and strong coordination with service and bar teams.
• Calm, professional, and guest-focused approach during peak nightlife hours.
• Willingness to work late nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
