Cashier

Job Summary:

We are looking for a polite, efficient, and reliable Billing Staff/Cashier to handle all customer transactions accurately and provide excellent front-of-house service. This role is crucial for managing the flow of sales, ensuring customers have a positive experience, and accurately managing the daily cash and card flow.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Transaction Management:

• Efficiently and accurately process all sales transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Handle various payment methods, including cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments, and vouchers.
• Ensure accurate cash handling, provide correct change, and reconcile the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.

2. Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly and thank them as they leave, maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding menu items, prices, and ongoing promotions.

3. Daily Operations and Reporting:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the billing counter and surrounding display areas.
• Generate daily sales reports and summary reports from the POS system as required by the management.
• Report any technical issues with the POS system or payment terminals immediately to the supervisor.
• Assist with stock checks and organizing merchandise near the counter when requested.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred as a Cashier or in a customer-facing role, preferably within a café, bakery, or retail food environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems and handling electronic payment devices.
• Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
• Availability: Must be flexible to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as per the café's operating hours.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
