cashier - Foreign Exchange operations

About the role

The Cashier - Foreign Exchange Operations will handle day-to-day currency exchange transactions, customer dealings, and related documentation while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Handle foreign currency purchase and sale transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Manage cash counters, count, verify, and reconcile cash at the beginning and end of the day.
• Verify customer documents as per company policy and regulatory guidelines (KYC/AML).
• Prepare and maintain transaction records, vouchers, and system entries for all FX operations.
• Assist customers with exchange rates, basic product information, and process-related queries.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and security protocols.
• Coordinate with the operations/branch team for daily reporting and cash requirements.
• Identify and report any suspicious or unusual transactions to the concerned authority.

Candidate profile

• Education: Graduate in Finance, B.Com, or equivalent.
• Experience:
• Fresher candidates may apply, OR
• Candidates with 1 year of experience in cashiering, banking, or financial operations will be preferred.

Skills and requirements:

• Good English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Basic to intermediate computer knowledge (MS Office, email, data entry).
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Integrity, reliability, and a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced transactional environment.
• Immediate joiner preferred.
• Minimum credit score: 650 (CIBIL or equivalent), subject to verification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
