Career Counselor (ed tech)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions with students, graduates, and working professionals to understand their interests, strengths, and career aspirations.
• Guide candidates on suitable courses, career paths, job roles, and skill development options.
• Use psychometric tests, aptitude assessments, and career mapping tools to identify the right career direction.
• Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends, emerging careers, and job market requirements.
• Help clients build resumes, portfolios, and interview preparation plans.
• Organize and conduct workshops, webinars, and group counselling sessions.
• Track student progress, maintain counselling records, and follow up for success outcomes.
• Provide guidance on overseas education options (if applicable).
• Collaborate with placement teams, trainers, and institutions to ensure end-to-end support.
• Provide empathetic, unbiased, and professional guidance aligned with ethical counselling practices.

• Ability to interpret aptitude/psychometric test results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, HR, Social Work, Education, or related fields.
• Certification in career counselling, life coaching, or psychometric testing is an added advantage.
