Car Service Advisor

Job Summary:We are looking for a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Car Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between customers and the service department, helping to schedule appointments, provide cost estimates, explain repair details, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:Greet customers promptly and courteously upon arrival. Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues and service requests. Schedule service appointments and manage workflow to ensure timely completion. Provide clear explanations of services, estimates, and repair timelines. Communicate with technicians to understand vehicle diagnostics and recommend appropriate repairs. Update customers on service progress and notify them of any changes. Prepare repair orders and obtain necessary customer authorizations. Handle customer complaints professionally and work towards quick resolutions. Promote additional services and maintenance based on vehicle history and inspection reports. Ensure all vehicles are returned in clean condition and work is completed as promised. Maintain accurate service records and documentation. Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Prior experience as a Service Advisor or in the automotive industry is an advantage. Strong knowledge of automotive systems and services. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with service management software and Microsoft Office. Preferred Skills:Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification (a plus). Bilingual skills (optional, based on location/customer base). Sales or upselling experience in a service environment.
