Assistant Manager Car Sales & OWN NOW Program

Reporting To

City Sales Head / City Operations Manager

Role Objective

The Assistant Manager Car Sales & OWN NOW will be responsible for driving vehicle sales and allocations under the OWN NOW model, coordinating with onboarding, recruitment, finance, and operations teams to ensure healthy car utilization, timely closures, and low early-life cycle defaults. The role blends field sales, process execution, and performance tracking.

Key Responsibilities

1. OWN NOW Sales & Allocation Drive sales and allocation of cars under the OWN NOW / Drive-to-Own program by creating a healthy sales channel for the same Convert existing onboarding, recruitment, and driver pipeline into OWN NOW customers. Counsel drivers on: Ownership Model and Benefits OWN NOW tenure, pricing, and overall process responsibility. Overall responsible P&L Owner of OwnNow product. Weekly rentals, buyout value, and exit clauses Ensure right driver right car matching to minimize churn and defaults.

2. Sales Funnel & Lead Management Manage end-to-end sales funnel and also tap different possible sales channels to grow the OwnNow product portfolio Lead generation (walk-ins, referrals, onboarding pool) Qualification & eligibility checks Test drive / vehicle demo coordination Documentation and closure Maintain daily tracker for: Leads generated Conversions Drop-offs and reasons

3. Coordination with Internal Teams Work closely with: Recruitment & Onboarding teams to tap fresh drivers Operations for vehicle readiness and handover Finance for EMI/rental alignment and approvals Ensure smooth handover of vehicles with zero documentation gaps.

4. Documentation & Compliance Ensure complete and accurate documentation: KYC Agreement signing Post-dated cheques / mandate (as applicable) Ensure compliance with Everest Fleet policies and platform partner norms.

5. Post-Sales Monitoring (Early Life Cycle) Track drivers in first 3060 days of OWN NOW allocation. Flag early risk indicators: Low earnings Payment delays Behavioral or operational issues Coordinate with ops and retention teams for corrective action.

6. Performance Tracking & Reporting Own key metrics: OWN NOW allocations per week Conversion % from onboarding pool Early churn / default rate Revenue per car Share daily MIS and weekly performance reports with city leadership.

7. Market Feedback & Process Improvement Capture driver feedback on: Pricing Product structure Competitor offerings Share insights to improve OWN NOW product, SOPs, and sales pitch.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education Graduate (Any discipline)

Experience

25 years experience in: Automobile sales, fleet sales, BFSI/ consumer finance sales or Telecom / Field sales with targets

Skills & Competencies

Strong field sales and negotiation skills Ability to explain financial products to blue-collar customers High ownership mindset Comfortable working with daily targets and MIS Good local market and driver ecosystem understanding

Preferred Background

Experience in Drive-to-Own / Lease-to-Own / Auto finance / Fleet operations Exposure to gig-economy platforms (Uber, Ola, Rapido, etc.) Working Style Field-heavy role with depot and yard visits 6 days working Target-driven, performance-linked incentives
