Job Description

Job Summary:

Restaurant Captain

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations.
Greet guests warmly, ensure prompt seating, and manage table turnover efficiently.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and ensure timely service.
Coordinate between kitchen staff and service team to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain high service standards, cleanliness, and hygiene in the dining area.
Train and guide waiters and stewards in service etiquette and guest handling.
Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally.
Monitor inventory of cutlery, crockery, and tableware.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Support the Restaurant Manager in managing shift schedules and daily reports.

Requirements:

Minimum
2 years of experience
as Captain / Sr. Steward in a reputed South Indian cuisine restaurant.
Strong knowledge of South Indian dishes and service style.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pleasing personality with strong leadership qualities.
Ability to handle guest concerns and team operations effectively.
Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Education:

Hotel Management Diploma / Degree preferred.
