Title : Capability Engineer
Location : Madurai manufacturing Plant
Role Objective/Purpose of the Role
Support Capability Head to Implement MECS (Manufacturing Excellence & Capability System) in Amway India Manufacturing plant and train manufacturing team on MECS pillar tools & system to enhance people and equipment capabilities in Madurai Manufacturing plant. This role needs to work with capability experts, operations & technical leads and facilitate them to identify and eliminate various losses in manufacturing by using right pillar tools and systems. Drive continuous improvement, Loss Analysis & elimination in a systemic way and own important DMS (Daily Management System) like Kaizen, 5S etc. Perform coordinators role in Pillar and Circle teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Standards:
- Support the Head of Capability to review and release revised master plan for MECS implementation
- Support to cultivate Zero Loss Mindset and Continuous improvement of culture in Manufacturing Plant
- Develop training manual for various MECS tools and systems
- Systemic formation of Pillar team and circle teams
- Review and update standard formats related with various MECS Pillar systems
- Facilitate various teams to standardize their Manufacturing Excellence implementation process and have established pillar wise implementation plan
- Release DMS (Daily Management System) for lead processes and help others to develop the standards for other systems
- Support manufacturing teams to prepare their circle team KRA based on the Plant KRA
- Perform various audits like pillar audits, 5S audits etc. based on the business requirement
Capability Building:
- Train all the Pillar Leaders & Circle Team Leaders on MECS
- Co-ordinate and support all pillar leaders to form their respective pillar team and build capability as per their pillar requirements
- Guide all pillar leaders to manage applicable pillar work processes across the plant to ensure implementation as per the plan to drive excellence
- Co-ordinate with pillar teams to impart training on usage of UPS (Unified Problem Solving) tolls & WPO tolls to eliminate the losses in the process in a systemic way
- Coach functional teams to use appropriate tools to eliminate problems related to their functions
- Support & guide circle team coach / leaders to build equipment and people capabilities in their respective circle area
- Work with team and facilitate them to do proper RCA using right MECS-tools
- Perform periodic health checks for various systems & standards and report the non-compliance.
- Take necessary steps to modify or correct the systems and standards (DMS) as per current business requirement.
- Train and support manufacturing team to do proper GAP Analysis and help them to fix the GAPs in a systemic way
- Lead any one of the Pillar systems & Circle Team
- Drive 5S across Madurai Manufacturing plant & train entire plant on 5S implementation and compliance
Results & Review:
- Implementation of MECS pillars as per the master plan at Plant
- Ensure 100% compliance with the MECS systems & standards across the plant
- Enable Continuous improvement in OEE, MTTR, MTBF, Stops & Breakdowns etc. by using standard tolls & systems
- Track & Report Capability Score card and be as a coordinator for capability meetings
- Review Circle teams KRA and help team to achieve their targets
- 100% compliance with the health check plan for standard systems
- Completion of LE / WPO / FI projects through pillar / circle teams
- Implementation of various systems and standards as per the plan
- Revision of DMS as appropriate
Certifications:
TPM / Lean / Six Sigma (Green Belt) /Operational excellence.
Experience:
2- or 3-years experience in Manufacturing / Manufacturing Excellence .
Qualification :
B.E / B. Tech in any field.
