Hydraulic Fittings Design Engineer
AluminiumstandardisationcustomisedandRole & responsibilities Design and develop hydraulic fittings, connectors, and adapters for machinery and equipment. Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD & Creo. Ensure proper thread standards (BSP, NPT, JIC, ORFS, Metric) and sealing compatibility. S elect appropriate material s based on pressure ratings, temperature, corrosion resistance, and application. Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) , technical specifications, and design documentation. Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and quality compliance. Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis, interference checks, and ensure GD&T compliance. Work with R&D or customer teams for customized fitting designs. Participate in prototyping, testing (burst, leak, vibration), and troubleshooting. E nsure compliance with ISO, ASME, SAE, and DIN standards. Support cost reduction, standardization, and design optimization initiatives. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and fitting types (straight, elbow, T, flange, quick connect, etc.) Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo preferred) Good understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and fitment Knowledge of hydraulic design parameters (flow rate, pressure, burst, leakage) Familiarity with manufacturing processes: CNC, forging, machining, plating Understanding of materials: MS, SS, Brass, Aluminum, etc.
