Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Design and Technology Teacher to deliver engaging and rigorous instruction for the Cambridge International AS & A Level (9705) and IGCSE (0445) curriculum. The ideal candidate will inspire students through project-based learning and foster skills in design thinking, innovation, and real-world application. Apply online at: cmseducation.org/careers Last Date to Apply: June 7, 2025 Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Design and Technology syllabi. Guide students through the complete design process, including research, ideation, prototyping, and evaluation. Facilitate coursework and project development in accordance with Cambridge assessment criteria. Prepare students for external examinations, including both written papers and practical assessments. Maintain a well-equipped, safe, and organized workshop or design lab. Integrate CAD/CAM tools, digital fabrication, and sustainable design practices into the curriculum. Promote cross-curricular connections and real-world applications of design and technology. Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain effective communication with parents and guardians. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and educational best practices. Contribute to school-wide innovation initiatives, exhibitions, and design-related events. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Design, Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or Technology Education. Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent). Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and/or A Level Design and Technology. Strong understanding of Cambridge syllabus structure, learning objectives, and assessment standards. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SketchUp) and familiarity with various materials and manufacturing processes.
