ITI / Diploma Civil Engineer / Diploma Architect with minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in Drafting. Create and optimize CNC programs for punch press and laser cutting machines from part drawings, manage tool inventory, and ensure quality and timely delivery, working with the design team in India and technicians in France.

RESPONSIBILITIES: To contribute for Electrical CAD project deliverables for Infrastructure projects as per WSP CAD standards. Responsible for Preparation of drawings including conceptual sketches and detailed drawings for electrical using Autodesk Autocad / Autocad Electrical software with quality and accuracy utilising knowledge of relevant design principles and standards. Prepare electrical design deliverables (Single Line drawings, Schematics, Wiring Diagrams and Terminations; and General arrangements etc.) based on engineering instructions, government and regulatory codes. Producing Electrical Drawings of LV & HV Electrical Systems including Main Switchboards, Motor Control Centres, Distribution Boards, PLC Panels and Control Panels. Must complete a high quality self check on own work with efficiency. Should follow internal QC process to deliver high standrads project documents. Perform revisions to engineering drawings, as marked up made by the Checkers and Leads. Verify to ensure drawing modifications are accurately and correctly carried out. Reporting progress of work assignment to immediate supervisor. Understands the project schedule. Communicate with internal peers and project team and may be required to answer questions regarding deliverables. This role is to contribute to growing utilities infrastructure CAD team delivering wet utilities (including Wastewater Sewage Pumping Station and Water management structures for municipal service) deliverables in compliance with WSP Australia CAD standards. Responsible for CAD tasks as directed by the CAD Manager and Engineer. Responsible for Material and Quantity take off and underground utility coordination. Actively participate in the design and provide input to the design team throughout the design process. Working knowledge of Autodesk Vault software. Our CDE (Common Data Environment). WSP Digital Engineering standard requires the use and implication of Autodesk Vault to uphold our ISO19650 accreditation and ISO27001. Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager. Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies, be vigilant in regards to health and safety even when outside of work hours. Ensuring that quality assurance (QA) procedures are implemented and maintained, becoming a champion of QA to uphold the high level of quality WSP maintain and aiming to improve QA processes. Identify improvements (where possible) to enhance WSP service to clients. Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline. KEY COMPETENCIES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS: Should have 3-6 years experience. Should have diploma or Degree in Electrical or relevant field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English. Experience in Producing Single Line Diagram , Schematics, terminations and electrical layouts, Area Classification, Distribution panel layout, cable & conduit schedule, Electrical Schematics, lighting design , Control panel c/w I/O schematics, Junction box layouts, Electrical Heat trace design, Electrical Bill of Materials. Familiarity with electrical equipment and terminology. Prepares engineering drawing deliverables from sketches, calculations and/or specifications. Experience in AutoCAD is Must requirement . Excellent knowledge of drafting software 2d and 3d. Experience with Autodesk software such as AutoCAD Electrical , Navisworks, Vault, BIM 360 is Preferable. Ability to Produce electrical desigs with minimal engineering inputs. Experience with utilities infrastructure , wastewater and recycled water project is highly regarded . Experience with projects in Australia, New Zealand would be an advantage.

To act in a senior technical capacity in producing WSP engineering related project drawings relating to Primary Engineering for Transmission & Distribution, Renewable (Onshore & Offshore wind/ Solar), BESS projects. This includes (but not limited to): Create detailed engineering drawings for Extra High Voltage (EHV) projects, covering both Air Insulated Substations (AIS) and Gas Insulated Substations (GIS), ranging from 11kV up to 400kV (with a particular emphasis on 132kV voltages and above) Preparation and development of EC&I deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, loop drawings, cable block diagrams, plant layouts, cable routing, cable containment design and switchgear configurations using both 2D and 3D software packages; Develop darwings to support detailed engineering, such as Land Utilisation Plan, Elevations, Above and Below Grade Conduit layouts, Grounding layout & it s connection details, Lighting and Lightning protection with respective details, Bill of Materials, CDM, MEWP layouts. Facilitate coordination of design activities across various departments, including Civil/Structural, Networks, and Transmission Line. Conduct design reviews, participate in virtual meetings, and collaborate closely with clients. Assist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts. Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures. Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline. Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects. Coordinate with team members and monitor project schedules, ensuring submissions meet high-quality standards. Maintain compliance to CDM Regulations and all other legal and regulatory requirements associated with the nature of substation and electrical system design. Collaborate with WSP UK office on design activities. Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members. Develop and enhance processes, tools, and potentially implement new technologies into the design process. Periodic Quality check to be conducted for other engineers & designers. Exhibit ingenuity, foresight, and wise decision-making skills in proactively identifying and resolving challenges. Contribute to the progress and growth of departmental tools and workflows aimed at improving the effectiveness of design processes, specification development, and project implementation. Engage in training sessions and meetings dedicated to addressing targeted organizational initiatives. Qualifications Possess a Diploma or Degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution. Have a minimum of five years and a maximum of ten years of experience in the field of Substation Transmission & Distribution, Renewable (Onshore & Offshore wind/ Solar), BESS projects. Experience on working in Raster image files. Preferably familiar with UK projects. Experience of working in a lead substation design role on National Grid Electricity Transmission projects (or other UK utilities like SSEN, SPEN etc.) in the UK will be an added advantage. Experience in Onshore wind, Offshore wind, Renewable (solar) and BESS projects is preferred. Familiarity with 3D tools (Revit) for Engineering design is desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Demonstrated leadership skills. Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
