CAD/ BIM Technician - Bridges

You will be joining our communities team as a CAD Technician specializing in civil engineering, specifically focusing on bridge design and construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to create detailed and accurate computer-aided design (CAD) drawings and models for bridge structures. By collaborating closely with the engineering team, you will ensure the successful completion of bridge projects from inception to completion. - Develop detailed and accurate bridge design and construction drawings using CAD software, following project specifications, engineering standards, and codes. - Collaborate with engineers and team members to understand project requirements and provide technical support during the design and construction phases of bridge projects. - Create 3D models and visualizations of bridge structures to assess design feasibility and communicate ideas to stakeholders. - Prepare and update CAD drawings as needed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established project deadlines. - Conduct regular reviews of designs, identify discrepancies or errors, and provide suggestions for improvements and modifications when necessary. - Assist in the preparation of engineering reports, proposals, and specifications related to bridge design and construction. - Maintain a comprehensive archive of all CAD files and project documentation for future reference. - Stay updated with the latest CAD software and techniques through professional development opportunities. - Ensure proper coordination and integration of CAD drawings and models with other construction-related documents and systems. - Follow established safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. - Proven experience as a CAD Technician in the civil engineering field, preferably with a focus on bridge design and construction. - Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, MicroStation, etc.) and understanding of 3D modeling techniques. - Strong technical and mathematical skills to interpret and analyze engineering drawings and specifications. - Familiarity with relevant codes, guidelines, and standards related to bridge design and construction (e.g., AASHTO, ACI). - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve design issues. - Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information clearly. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. - Degree or diploma in civil engineering or a related field preferred, relevant work experience will also be considered. - Knowledge of GIS software and civil engineering software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro) is an advantage. - Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry advancements.,
