Senior CAD Technician - Piping Checker

As a skilled CAD technician with a passion for piping design, you have the opportunity to join the dynamic team at WSP iCRC as a Senior CAD Technician - Piping Checker and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company. **Key Responsibilities:** - Execute work independently using intelligent 3D CAD systems like Cadworx, Plant 3D, Autoplant 3D / Open Plant Modeller, SP3D, E3D. - Develop concepts and layouts in collaboration with Piping Designers to meet project requirements. - Model equipment and pipe routings in accordance with P&IDs and equipment data sheets. - Prepare equipment layout drawings, piping general arrangements, pipe support general arrangements, and safety layouts. - Guide piping designers on 3D and piping modeling to meet client requirements. - Extract and annotate piping isometrics. - Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to finalize piping designs timely. - Prepare piping material take-offs (MTOs). - Act as an active team player and deliver assigned tasks accurately within the agreed timeline. - Prioritize activities and manage conflicting deadlines effectively to meet schedules. - Demonstrate excellent knowledge in ASME codes and standards. - Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering methods with independent judgment. - Perform engineering tasks with some complexity within a discipline. - Prepare design and drafting procedures to standardize design efforts. - Resolve problems, interpret drawings and documents, and support project management. - Foster openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction in the work environment. **Education Qualification:** - Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum 12 to 15 years of technical experience required. - Design experience with clients from the USA and Canada will be an advantage. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
