Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed electrical CAD drawings for solar PV systems including:

1. Single Line Diagrams (SLD)

2. Wiring layouts

3. Cable routing and trenching plans

4. Earthing and lightning protection systems

Collaborate with electrical design engineers to convert conceptual designs into construction-ready drawings.
Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes (e.g., IEC, IS, NEC)
Coordinate with civil and structural teams for interdisciplinary drawing integration
Maintain drawing documentation and version control using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools
Support site engineers with as-built drawings and revisions during execution
Assist in BOM (Bill of Materials) preparation and drawing-based quantity take-offs

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
25 years of experience in CAD drafting for electrical systems, preferably in solar or renewable energy
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office
Familiarity with solar PV components: inverters, combiner boxes, transformers, etc.
Understanding of grid-connected and off-grid solar systems
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Preferred:

Experience with GIS tools or SCADA integration
Knowledge of BIM workflows
Exposure to large-scale solar farms or rooftop solar projects
